Winter is not over!!

I had the pleasure of meeting with Kathy Wilson, the very talented designer of Kathy Wilson Atelier. We met at a local eatery in Brooklyn and had lots to discuss.....
As I walked in I was greeted by a very sweet, out-going 4 foot something dynamic women. Let me clarify, she is petite by all standards but not to be messed with when it comes to her vision and passion of fashion! I had talked to her via phone and e-mails, and when we met it was as if I had known her for years.
I was very quickly  impressed, as she introduced herself and started telling me her story of how she started as a designer and what she wanted to accomplish. She grew up in the California area and  was a resent transplant to NYC.
I could tell right away that this women had a story and a mission and was going to express it through her passion of designing clothing.
She had brought along her look books and I have to say I was very impressed;she has designed a line for both women and Men. Yes Men,we quickly both agreed that there is a lack of Men's clothing options out there(I will get into that in future posts,More Men's lines please!)
She has designed a very classic yet youthful line that can carry you from the board room to lounge, geared toward the 20 & 30 something age group who has and will be accomplished.

In addition to this line ,she has deigned a line of coats for women, I personally have a love of coats and love what she has designed. Coats are one of those things you buy and never ever want to get rid of or give away. They are classically tailored and all have a beautiful lining!
As a rep. I have been asked for more coats and have found my designer in this department!! So Yayee for Coats and Yayee, for Sage & Clover for finding a wonderful coat designer!

Opera Swimwear

Opera Swimwear  by Suelie Costa, is one of the lines that Sage & Clover is currently representing and  we are very pleased to be working with such a talented and inspirational women.
Opera Swimwear is a luxury Brazilian swimwear brand. The creations are made with the finest raw materials, and adorned with glittering gemstones as well as Swarovski crystals, as well as hand embroidery and hand painting, knitting and laces all done by hand.
Sueli has been in the fashion industry for over 25 years and has worked with many talented designers as well as has been a pioneer herself in the industry. Owning and operating fashion venues all over the world including Milan and NYC.
Her inspiration and vision of Opera Swimwear have graced the pages and covers of Vogue Spain, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, and Sports Illustrated to name a few. Not only has the swimwear line been published in magazines, there is a permanent piece at the Swarovski Museum in Austria.
Sueli is joined by daughter Gabriella Pires, who has recently introduced the Juniors/Missy line and a children's/Teens line as well.

To look at these suits is truly inspirational, they make you just want to book a vacation to the nearest beach and just relax and look and feel beautiful. Not only are they simply beautiful swimwear pieces they are functional as well, yes you can jump in the pool, ocean, or hot tube with one and then just tie a wrap around yourself and head to the nearest "hot spot" where ever you are wearing one,you look and feel great.
I know what some may be thinking " but not every women has a figure like that of a Brazilian women" that is why Suelie has paid certain attention to make sure the Opera Swimwear line is available in all cuts to fit all women's shapes and sizes. She has made it a point to introduce elegant swimwear to all women.
While working on the swimwear line both designers Sueli and Gabriella are also committed to ethical, social sustainable work as well and have partnerships with several non-profit Brazilian organizations. That promote self sufficiency and assure a source of income to women who are victims of violence, as well as abused and exploited children, drug rehabilitation programs and  the well being of the elderly.
This is just an "insight" into who these designers are, I have had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Suelie and could see instantly that not only was she passionate about her work, but had such a passion for all that she was working on. Yes she is a women that is constantly "thinking" or as I like to say " has the wheels turning" that wonderful look a designer's has of passion and a true love for art and all that surrounds her.
Opera Swimwear is a work of art in the swimwear world and is to any women that puts it on
"Get dressed. You're going to the Opera!.."
